Paul Trivette currently serves as the Chief Strategy Officer of Cedar Recovery. With a deep commitment to improving the lives of individuals struggling with substance use disorder, Paul has dedicated his career to advocating for effective treatment and building strategic initiatives in the healthcare industry.

‍Paul’s journey in public service began with a distinguished five-year tenure as a police officer at the Bristol, TN Police Department. During his time there, he served as a dedicated patrol officer, conducting investigations, and being a designated Drug Recognition Expert. His exemplary performance and commitment to duty earned him recognition, including the prestigious Meritorious Service Ribbon.

‍Paul joined Cedar Recovery in November of 2020, bringing with him a wealth of experience and expertise in the addiction treatment sector. Prior to his role at Cedar Recovery, he served as the Vice President of Government Affairs & Operations at Pathway Healthcare, LLC. At Pathway Healthcare, a prominent multi-state outpatient addiction treatment company, Paul played a key role in managing government relations, operational efficiency, and expanding the company’s reach.

‍Before his tenure at Pathway Healthcare, Paul founded the Tennessee Recovery Coalition, a non-profit organization focused on advocating for individuals suffering from substance use disorder. As the Executive Director, he worked to raise awareness, advocate, and lobby for policy changes, and provide support to those in need. His dedication and leadership within the organization were instrumental in advancing the cause of recovery and improving access to treatment services in the state of Tennessee.

‍In 2018, Paul had the privilege of serving with Cooley Public Strategies as a contract lobbyist and government relations coordinator. This experience further honed his skills in navigating complex legislative processes, building relationships with key stakeholders, and effectively advocating for policy changes in healthcare. Paul has successfully lobbied for legislation in Tennessee and Alabama while also helping to fight legislation affecting his related industries.

‍In his current role as the Chief Strategy Officer at Cedar Recovery, Paul is responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of Cedar’s strategic plan. He plays a pivotal role in aligning various departments, managing insurance contracts, recruiting physicians, and overseeing the company’s data analytics. Paul’s expertise also extends to program development, ensuring that Cedar Recovery offers innovative and evidence-based treatment solutions to its patients.

‍Paul is a resident of Nashville, Tennessee, where he resides with his wife and four children. His personal commitment to improving the lives of those affected by addiction is reflected in his professional endeavors and his involvement in the community.
